Nowadays, part of the video game industry is dedicated to video games as INTERACTIVE WORK, or rather to the production of video games intended as means of expression of human thought, capable of transmitting emotions and telling stories.

BeGames bases it's philosophy precisely on this aspect: video-games as a FORM OF NARRATIVE ART.

The GAME PRODUCTION & CINEMATICS course is the first and only course to offer training for future video-game creators who want to deepen the art of cinematics not only through a technical point of view but also through artistic and conceptual vision.

The course will follow a specific criterion to develop the connection between video game and cinema.

Lessons on the use of specific software to explain all aspects of video-game production from programming to 3D Modeling will be alternated by lessons with directors, cinematographers and set designers.

This will help to give students a complete vision on how to set up shots, environments, lighting and cinematics to create video-games with a high narrative content and aesthetic impact.

At the end of the course, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE A VIDEO-GAME and by understanding the entire pipeline of workflow involved to get to completion. The final project that will be developed as a real team with the trainers, who will follow the students in every phase.

The course is open to all and there are no basic requirements, WE WILL START FROM SCRATCH!

The training course in "Game Production & Cinematics" lasts 5 immersive months and is organized in 2 steps:

Provides that students have the opportunity to train (even without experience) in the basic disciplines that lead to the realization of a video-game: Modeling, VFX, Sculpting, Rigging, Lighting, Animation and Programming, through the use of fundamental programs such as Unreal, Maya, Substance Painter, Substance designer, Zbrush; in addition theoretical and practical lessons on Cinema and It's storytelling guidelines and how to create simple cinematics

MAYA

Autodesk Maya, the reference software for creating 3D models and animations is also used as a standard within the video game industry. Students will take the first steps within the program and develop capabilities to create complex models and animations that can be used in a 3D game

SUBSTANCE PAINTER

SUBSTANCE PAINTER

3D painting program that allows the user to create textures that will be mapped directly on the geometries of a previously made and imported 3D model. It allows both hand and automatic drawing with brushes of various sizes controlled in real time

UNREAL

UNREAL

Unreal Engine is the graphic engine that will be used to create content during the whole course. This avant-guard software is the step that allows the virtual world to come to life. Within Unreal, from programming with BluePrints, to studying VFXs and Shaders will then let students focus on the use of cameras to move within the real time managed 3D environments (volumes) to create cinematics
